SEAG Single Entrance Test

The two examination bodies who ran the Transfer Test have merged into one body called Schools' Entrance Assessment Group (SEAG). So now all pupils will sit just one version of the Transfer Test organised by SEAG.

The test is often called The SEAG Single Entrance Test.

The SEAG single Entrance Test will be held in the first term of a child's primary year 7 and there is only a very short period between starting year 7 in September and actually doing the tests.

The 11+ Exam in England

The 11+ Exam is held at different times across England but it is usually held in the first term of a child's primary year 6.

There are two main examining boards - GL 11+ Exams and CEM 11+ Exams. The content of both exams is similar but the presentation may differ.
